ITINERARY BOTSWANA SAFARI

Day -1

Upon your arrival at OR Tambo Airport, you will be met by one of our staff members. You will depart on a road trip, about a 3 ½ hour drive to our lodge in the heart of the South African bushveld.

Day -2

Spend the day relaxing at our lodge, discussing the itinerary and tour schedule and personal questions.

Day-3

You will leave, with your dedicated tour guide, early morning after a coffee and light breakfast on your Botswana adventure, traveling to the South African/ Botswana border, this will take approximately 1 ½ hours. Checking through the border, you will be on your way to Nata Lodge a road trip of approximately 6 hours, promising  scenery of typical African country side, where you will stay the night. Nata Lodge is situated on the edge of the Makgadikgadi salt pans – the largest in the world, and the remains of  Africa’s largest inland sea. Upon arrival you will be checked in and leave for a scenic tour to the Nata Sanctuary.

Day-4

After  breakfast, you will leave for Chobe National Park in northern  Botswana, a road trip that will take about 4 hours. Chobe National Park is the third largest park in Botswana, and has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. The gateway to Chobe is Kasane, a small town sandwiched between the Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibian borders.

Chobe Safari Lodge will be your host and accommodation for the duration of your stay. This lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe river.

After checking in, and relaxing after a long drive, you will be entertained on a sunset cruise on the Chobe river, where sights of hippo, crocodile, buffalo, elephants and other game and bird life, and the most breath taking sunset will await you.

Day-5

After breakfast, you will leave on a guided tour to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. This promise to be an everlasting experience of visiting one of the 7 great wonders of the world. Experience a helicopter flight over the falls and see why  the Victoria Falls is classified as the largest in the world. Based on its combined width and height, resulting in the the worlds largest sheet of falling water, thus earning the local name “Mosi – oa –Tunya” (The Smoke That Thunders).

Day-6

After breakfast,  you will depart on a private game drive in the Chobe National Park. This day long experience will give you the chance to see Elephant, buffalo, lion, and many other species of wild life.

Day-7

After breakfast, you will check out, and start departing your journey back to South Africa. This is a road trip of approximately 10 hours.

 Day-8

After breakfast, you will depart for OR Tambo International airport, where we will bid you farewell on a safe journey back to your home, leaving you with fond memories of Africa.
